Why is Eleanor hating on Theodora all the sudden??

“Eleanor said aloud, "Now I know why people scream, because I think I'm going to," and Theodora said, "I will if you will," and laughed…” the inclusion of comedy mixed with the horror/gothic tropes are so amazing

Love the narration style and how the horror/gothic tropes are often countered with the characters making jokes or acting out an abruptly ridiculous scene to create a lighthearted mood
