When the two friends, who are in love with each other, finally kiss in the middle of the book, you know that they will spend the next half of the book acting as silly as possible, creating drama out of nothing.

The Christmas tree on the cover fooled me. The book takes place not around Christmas, but in the summer. I hope they get to Christmas by the end. Well, what can you do. But the narrator is excellent.
