“I can’t live in a world where you don’t exist!” It’s been 7 days!!!

Omg it just clicked that she calls her dad “Father” 💀

“There will never be a world where we coexist without hatred and old wounds dripping on each side.” Here’s why this line doesn’t work: you’ve spent the last 272 pages showing me the characters pining for each other while only telling me that he walked away from their supposed arranged marriage. And that their families don’t like each other. I just don’t believe it. Build your background better!!

You’re telling me she’s some badass goddess, Ava yet she’s afraid of heights?? She’s stopped in an elevator, ffs! And did the author really drop a “in not suck in there with him, he’s stuck with me” line back there? So cliche!! And it didn’t even fit the scene!!

So you mean to tell me Rowan is now hired as a body guard and Rey asks who her father pissed off this time and Rowan shrugs and says “I didn’t ask. Don’t want to know.” WOULDN’T THAT BE HIS JOB TO FIND OUT???!!!!! OMFG the lack of logic in this book 💀😭

27 chapters. In 24 hours. Like omg the pacing in this book… 💀

“Why am I worrying about my enemy?” You’ve TOLD me that these characters hate each other, but you’ve SHOWN me nothing. Like, oh no her dad is some evil, lying, killer mob man!!! But what did he DO exactly? Like build up the backstory a little! Make me believe it!! But no, it’s just vague cliffhanger after vague cliffhanger every three pages. Ai yo!! 😮‍💨

She hit her head? He caught her, but didn’t? She wasn’t bleeding much, but she thought the wound was huge? Like why be intentionally vague and contradicting? Ugh!!!

It’s going to be under water isn’t it? And why are all the chapters 3 pages long and end in some dramatic sentence? Ugh… I need to learn how to dnf books….

This is going to turn into a rage read, I can tell. There are so many things wrong with it. The cheesy dialogue, the stupid plot, the repetitive attempts at cliffhangers. Like she’s supposed to be some dangerously beautiful girl sent to kill everyone in her path but nothing in this book convinces me that she can. Show don’t tell!! The scene in the spring? Omfg 😫 What in the knock off WB teen drama is this?
