theory: maybe her son (ayumi papa) was the go-between and his wife (ayumi mama) found the mirror? which is why they both died? and since grandma found them/the mirror she became the go-between (again or for the first time) because she didn’t want it to go to ayumi? and that’s why is has to be him now?
