To be fair, I am reading this alongside another sequel I was looking forward to that just came out and I gotta say, I am downright disappointed.
Amaia and Alaryk?? They are no Sarkin and Klara. Not at all.
I can see flashes of excellence in them both but the characters to me just did not have that great of chemistry, it went from few interactions to attraction and then straight shagging! DARN IT!
