This baking competition is ridiculous. The first competition didn't involve baking at all. The third challenge left our MCs chained together for three days. Contrivance, anyone? The rest of the challenges have been glossed over. There is very little baking games in this "Baking Games" book.

There is a lot of telling me about the characters rather than showing. And it's not consistent. Rhett says he's not interested in things, but he really is. Savannah says she's positive about everything, but she also complains about everything. Rhett's grumpiness is so over the top. There is nothing subtle about the characterization. But I'm still interested enough to keep reading.
