The way I could not put this book down 😭😭 I can’t believe she didn’t leave Gustavo. But … I understand why she didn’t. I would’ve been incredibly conflicted in her position 😔 but the fact that Gustavo never told her he knew about Laurent … and the fact the child was not his … 💔 he truly prayed it would work.

Started off strong , love the way Lucinda writes, the character development & how she drops hints of things that have to be delved into further. The mystery around Pa Salt had me intrigued for sure & I love that Maia is a linguist like me!🥹
