Curious what you think of this one I kind of wish we read it in class but idk how we could’ve made the time

me too! so far it has been really good, imperial desire is intersecting with gender in a pretty unusual way. the characters who are coming of age are making me anxiously self-reflective in the sense of: does staying within intellectual or academic circles / having had a somewhat cloistered girlhood limit your knowledge of the world? do I need to see more of life? the reading has been slow though
