i last read this book a while ago but from what i remember i found it very interesting because it tells the story of the trojan war from a different perspective and makes me realize that aneas is not a very good person. like he left his wife in a burning city all alone and she died. he literally got everyone else in his family except her

paris is a bad person, he ditched his wife for ten years to marry helen who was already married to someone else. this caused a war and he only thought of his past wife (oenone) when he was injured and about to die. he never came back because he regretted his decisions and wanted to come back to oenone, they had a son btw, he only came back so she could heal him from his injuries but she said no so he died
