The first 26 chapters I found the FMC to be a bit insufferable. I enjoyed the FMC’s internal banter in the first book it became repetitive in this book. The FMC lacked character development in the first half of the book. But the MMC character continues to develop and we learn more about him. The storyline really picks up around chapter 27. If you are considering not finishing, stay with it, you will be surprised
