Not sure I will continue this, have spent weeks bouncing off these first pages without getting into it at all.

Anticipated a challenging read, so was pleasantly surprised at how readable it was. Quickly started to find a real lack of character though - I think I’m just sick of the bourgeoise setting and tone of this type of literature. I actually don’t love the prose either, convoluted and lacks real power imo.
