I am consuming this book. I see myself throughout and am understanding a lot about addictions. I can sum up my understanding of the first portion Ive read by: "Addiction is Worship".

It's not really a book to "enjoy" (as in, say, recreational reading) but it does help peel away the layers of addictive mindsets and get to the root of the problem. I am not agreeing with all of it, but rarely do I with any book. I think it could be a very useful tool in helping self or family / friends struggling in addiction.I got into the book originally because of a friend who is struggling. At times that makes the book very poignant.
Because of my experience losing people I loved to various addictions, I read a lot on these topics too. It is one of the things I became passionate about/against and educate myself on it quite a bit. I want to understand and I want to know how to deal with it and possibly help.
