If London is tryna say this man is dumb af for thinking -no he doesnt think right- for believing he could get thru -50 just because he is « a man », and the act of needing someone to travel with is womanish, then he might be onto something. Jumpscare… a good example of how classic literature can contain harmful language, even when the story’s purpose is unrelated to race. Felt this way with agatha christie too, and people ask me why i never really pick up classics.
