it is not lost on me that for all the talk of the "necessity of violence" the only person they have to shoot to take the tower is the professor who plotted a war and advocated for torturing students. they accomplish the occupation, quote, "so very easily"

actually shocking how lazy the writing is on the plot level alone. "somehow they made it back to england.... turned out to be simpler than expected.... it was apparently very easy to convince an entire ship" rebecca has this way of writing that sucks all the tension out of the situations she JUST created

chapter 7 is a masterclass in lazy found family writing LOL
