very whimsical/wholesome... not literary but expertly constructed. it's from the point of view of the sheep. lots of subtext. everything seems to have meaning/importance to drive the story forward. a bit different to the trailer, it starts off with george the shepherd already dead and the sheep knowing they have to solve the crime. we find out a lot about him through their memories

this book seems to be as delightful as the trailer! <3
i don't usually read cozy crime but the first page where the characters are introduced in order of appearance has me in LOVE! feeling hopeful about this book
