Something I do appreciate about this new trilogy: the dynamics between the Egyptian gods and humans work differently than they do in Percy Jackson & the Olympians and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard.

Also, I hope that if I ever find myself in imminent danger, Gizmo (my cat) will turn out to be the goddess Bast in disguise and be able to protect me.

Funny how Christianity has “burrowed” a lot from Egyptian (Greek, Roman and Norse) mythology.

Why did Mr. Riordan choose to make the book a transcription of a recording? So unrealistic that a couple of teen siblings would narrate the events in such an orderly manner.
