It’s tough because Amir, the main character is so dislikable.. the reader if forced to read the story through the thoughts of a villain in a way. In a way the book felt too overly sad and depressing.: like.. you thought it was bad first.. then it got worse and worse and worse. The beat and kindlest, most likable characters got treated worse and worse.. to rip the heart out of the reader. .. is it needed really ?
