Solberg interprets Galatians 5:14 as saying that the "old covenant rituals" have been replaced as a model of biblical obedience by - here he cites Matthew 22:37-40 - loving God and our neighbors (p. 153). 2 John 5-6 is not addressed. Solberg neglects to realize that a summary does not replace the whole.

The book conflates justification and sanctification by accusing Torah-observant Christians of thinking that we're "required to keep the old covenant law" (p. xxiv). I critique this subtle straw man in the Substack note linked below.
