I feel like if I read this book as a teenager, I would have finished it. But life is too short for boring books. I wanted yearning and I got some nasty men doing nasty things to innocent girls. Satanic rituals, alchemy and whatever. Nah. Also, how can 45 year old looking man be romanticly involved with a 19 or 20 year old girl? Like that ain't cute. You can be a 1000 year old vampire as long as you look around 30
