I began to understand where this is going and what it’s going for in chapter 5, but I started to fall in love with this book during chapter 6, “in which Profane returns to street level”.
It’s good stuff.
I was hesitant to continue because it felt like it was going nowhere, or was decadent in its prose, but now that I understand the rhythm of this book, I have high expectations for the rest of rest of it.
