I'll look forward to a review on this. I haven't read any of his commentaries & would love to know where they land in terms of feel & readability. A replacement for the BST for simple, clear & readable?

I find his ‘For Everyone books’ outstanding, especially on the Gospels. They’re very easy to read, and written for those who aren’t necessary familiar with theological terminology (there’s a glossary). Yet they reflect his depth of theology. I’d add the (probably obvious) caveat that his view on justification is not helpful (new perspective), but otherwise, these are very good. I’ve been reading them for years and find them helpful for personal devotional use as well as sermon prep.
