“Fried seafood filled the air.” is an actual sentence in this novel. Surely the authors (there are 2, and yet neither one nor their editor caught this?) meant to say “the SMELL of fried seafood filled the air?”

This writing is very ridiculous

Seems like I should’ve read the first book in this series in order to know what’s going on. So far the writing is … not good.
