finished chapter 9, it’s wild that doctors used to just always fall back on hysteria as a diagnosis and so sad that so many women were given these bs “treatments” when there was literally nothing wrong to begin with. it’s interesting to learn how anxiety has sort of become an over generalized diagnosis as well, and how issues still persist to this day although it’s getting better

finished chapter 7, i never realized how big of an issue female incontinence is, and i have to admit i also have typically thought of urology as a “male-oriented” field, so it was interesting to learn that history and understand the new knowledge we have now and how the fields are evolving
