Like I don't remember anyone saying or the author implying that "women are evil" etc. But most women here are antagonists, and that's logical, harem/politics are competitive. And those who aren't are the ones who have made peace with their situation. Or are dead/old.
So I think it's all "period typical" realistic more than misogynistic. Or like misogyny by omission or smth. But it's not nice to read all the same.
I didn't like how MC's brother treated his wife, and it was framed by the author like he's correct. But it was honestly nothing major.
I heard even the mc’s attitude towards women is condescending, like he’s better. But yeah, I also get what u mean by “period typical”.
