As an aspiring writer, I think Dave Levithan is a snarky jerk.
Somebody must have told him that there's too much "telling" in his writing (me being one of them) and now he's dedicating an entire arc of his love story to "show, not tell him".
What a jerk.
It's delicious, this chapter.
I'm thoroughly amused.

didn't know teenage drama could be so tender and yet dramatic at the same time like this.

I think people should take notes when David Levithan writes about emotions. It's soooo effective and refreshing.
On the other hand, sometimes he "tells" too much. It probably explains why this book is relatively short, but then the "telling" doesn't get too bad.
