So far I feel like the problem is just the character-really the FMC. I don’t know really ANYTHING about her backstory and I don’t see why helping Piers is specifically important to her. There’s not much “personalization” and I don’t feel any emotional connection to the characters. The book is just going reallllyyy slow now😑
