Mark Palmer I've had my eye on this one and the completionist series for a while. How is it?

Roger Alix-Gaudreau I enjoyed it. (Rating and review to come later today, probably.) I liked the unusual (to me, so far) element of a sentient dungeon being a main character. Though billed as LitRPG, I’d call it progression fantasy (and maybe the two are more closely than I realize, being new to both). The writing has some minor issues, but the story has an earnest energy that I liked.

Mark Palmer I've read a few other things with sentient dungeons. I thought The Land had some element of that, and the I think the Dungeon Heroes and Dungeon Diving series also have some of that element.

Roger Alix-Gaudreau Yeah, it’s a whole sub-genre of LitRPG, apparently, but this is the first one I’ve read. I think you could see the AI of Dungeon Crawler Carl as an extension of this idea, since the AI controls/creates the levels of the dungeon, the rules that apply within it, etc. That might be true of other system apocalypse LitRPGs as well, but I haven’t read widely in that area yet.
