Goddamn that was a lot. The race chapter is one of my favourites so far. that was exhilarating. James’s writing is so enthralling i can’t take my eyes off the book in situations like that. although Aequa has become the quintus. hm. something really weird is brewing in the senate but it still puts Vis in a good spot. he’s gonna try to find out what happened to him during the Iudicium…

In Res, Vis has passed all his tests with considerable ease. However, his status as Dormitor was challenged by Iro’s father and he is now required to do an impromptu test. Over in Luceum, Vus fought that big ass fucker and somehow a spirit went through him and denounced the big fucker if murder. He is now being transported to to another « school » for warriors lol.

In Luceum, Vis was brought in front of the king and tried for his possession Cian’s staff. He is to be sent to a place where he will become a warrior. A weird sense that this was planned somehow. In Obiteum, Vis has managed to enter Duat without any gleaners being alerted. It seems like a horrific place. I’m enjoying this book sooooo much.

That was fckin intense, Gleaners showed up in Qabr in the middle of the night, trapping one inside. Vis managed to ‘connect’ with one and made him stab him to bring him in Duat. wtf. on Res, Vis is passing his placement with brio but the event is placed with the senate of governance and religion in attendance. Tgis points to a certain alliance and most importantly, Military isn’t there. Something is brewing…

The Hierarchy is so weird and unsettling. Not surprising for an oppressive government. Vis went through all these preliminary tests and is on his way to the Placement exam, it was been moved to a different place for some reason. Vis’s stunt to get Eidhin’s attention was pretty smart. Also that creepy guy with the scar… I don’t like him. And Adoption, that’s really interesting. Hmmmmm…

Well… On Luceum Vis has been taken by buff daori warriors on a three week trek to somewhere, instead of execution. It was kinda sad to see him say his farewell to the family that housed him. he seemed to happy tgere. On Obiteum, Vis has been intensively training with Caeror, mainly memorizing the entire layout of Duat. He told Caeror about the Naumachia and is about to attempt crossing the golden gate.

closet to erupting. Lanistia is in jail awaiting to be put in a sapper for what she did, unwillingly. Emissa found Vis and apologized as much as she could while telling him to go meet Veridius. Also, she expressed that Vis’s blood reacts oddly to obsidian, a usual sign of a Iunctus, hence why she stabbed him in the first place. But Vis sisnt that at all. Something different. The Hierarchy would kill him for this…

On Obiteum, Vis is finding out that he might have something to stop tgis « god » and there’s a mysterious door that pulses the same as the naumachia. In Luceum, Vis is being caged for by the family that rescued him and is enjoying a very simple life as a farmer, but a mysterious man showed up and that’s all we know. On Res, many things are stirring up. The civils war between the three oarties has never been.
