I’m feeling vibessss some of these characters are getting interesting as hell. Malta is driving me up the wall however and the romance is draining my soul. Bring back fitz and the fool who’s romance made me believe in love

Paragon is super interesting but the Althea Brashen agenda is annoying me. I do not care ab ur weird romance plz go back to cool pirate stuff

I’m feeling the calling to finish these once and for all. I wasn’t thrilled by the start of this book, I was so attached to the characters of the previous trilogy that this felt so empty without them. But the most recent scene with Wintrow kinda got me back into it, what a balance of gore and interpersonal relationships. Plus if I can just get through this I get to read more about fitz <3

This book is really really good, I just miss Fitz so much that I’m struggling to connect 😂

Things are picking up! The characters aren’t as likeable as the Farseer trilogy but they are interestingly flawed. I’m excited to see Althea grow

Hobb’s done an amazing job making me uncomfortable with the realities of society in her world, rather than see it from outside like we did in the Farseer trilogy now we have multiple perspectives from all sides of the social contract. I’m not as attached to these characters yet but I’m enjoying Althea’s bouts of womanly hysteria lol
