i think the author seems to be over explaining the mechanisms and psyche of the Mughal ruler and his decisions. but she is right about one thing though- historical figures cannot be seen without the context of their own times and circumstances. and aurangzeb is one who’s under unnecessary scrutiny. some sources seem v “trust me bro” but this isn’t a technical tract so ig that’s ok
