As an adult who's been through the whole 'Homeschool -> Public Schooling' transition, I feel so bad for Stargirl... It's super clear to anyone who doesn't objectify her that she's trying her hardest to connect :(

The main point is pretty hamfisted, but I mean... It is a book for children & early adolescents so like... Makes sense lmao.
