It is actually bothering me that the author is clearly from the UK and didn’t research New England/CT vernacular. People in CT don’t say “calamity party” (what even the f*ck is that) nor do they put “xx” after text messages. They also don’t say “ring” versus “call”. Just some of a the few annoyances I’ve picked up as a Nutmegger.

Author should have set the book outside of the US ffs.
