There is something so deeply uninspiring about Ali Hazelwood’s female protagonists. Maybe, despite them being nuclear physicists or chemistry geniuses or hot sexy Stanford athlete - you guessed it, geniuses, they still present as deeply insecure, constantly comparing themselves to other women, and chasing after these stupid men. Oh my God why do I keep coming back Ms. Ali?
