Chapter 20. I was tired reading this chapter so may have missed something. Basically Grimsby just talked the Vicar out of his statement that he heard voices. Oh, he also discovered a cigarette bud indicating Mr X had been to the scene of the crime…when he acted like he had not…

Chapter 19. Young Master Damnish moves to the top of the suspect list with the maid’s information.

Chapter 18. Grisby goes to the pub. Everyone has a story to share that links to the murder. He basically shuts them all down.

Chapter 17. Grimsby is going to update the town council on things. He’s feeling better since being clogged on the head. Deedee is coming also. She still seems to like to be in on things. Another police officer murder is discussed from times passed. Mysterious vehicles are spotted in town.

Chapter 15. So Mr X was in the war with Lumly and he thought he died, yet here he is. Then when Grasby is out in the woods, he gets knocked out by someone. Intrigue.

Chapter 14. Interesting. Now the murders are of international interest and security. And Grasby has been instructed by Mr X to not solve them. That’s a twist.

Chapter 13. Well interesting. The man who was killed was writing a book about the war and how badly it was handled. But the manuscript is missing. Apparently Deedee and the deceased were involved in an affair. Also she is caught snooping around near his writing room.

Chapter 12. Deedee seems very suspicious in this chapter with her insistence on being on the scene of the new second murder and her sleep walking.

Chapter 11. I like the inspector. They found his car and he wiggled his way out of being suspected of leaving it on the road. The place where he is staying and Mrs G is interesting and creepy. Then there’s the mystery of the picture…is that his dad in the pic? I think so

Chapter 10. Young Damnish is the prime suspect for the thefts in the tea but not for the murder according to the Inspector. Deedee is smitten with young Danish. Cute.
