The way I was expecting a miscommunication trope to lead to second chance romance in a forced proximity situation but actually this is just two decent people going, “Hey, our first courtship was really awful, can we try the whole thing again but with openness and vulnerability?” This is a really mature romance?!

The MMC reminded me a lot of my wonderful husband. Wanting so badly to do the right thing, but full of anxiety on just how that works that he comes across as lacking emotional depth, when truly he is one of the most caring and gentle people I know.
