I appreciated the historical significance/importance of many of the issues depicted regarding mental health, sexuality, gender roles, etc…. But I just struggled to “like” it. I think I struggled to connect with Esther and interpreted many of her traits as narcissistic. Would be a good book club discussion book though! 🤷🏻♀️
