For the first 3/4 of the book, I was not impressed, and trying to finish it purely on principal. It started out good with clear existential and philosophical themes (especially meaning); but had suboptimal character development, relying on shallow and harmful stereotypes. It seems to be turning a page though. So far, not enough to redeem the character development problems, but enough to make me want to finish it.
