p.152/155, p.20/23, p.121/140 — this is ridiculous... I should check the other collections for page numbers...

I really wish he wrote less verbose prose... I read one powerful sentence, and then three complements that only weaken it.

It's hard reading it in pain, with consumerist thoughts, while a soap opera plays on the background and people talk... also, I think I fell asleep thrice reading it. Noob, I know... :/

I'm too much of a language nerd. I loved this chapter (Ch.III). The most terrifying thing in this book is in this chapter, I'm sure... the whole stolen life thing is less worse than the a death scenario... love it!

God, is it weird reading "the great race" in this book... it may-not-be* racism this once, but... you know?

p.137 — Lovecraft imaginedsuch atmospheric and frightening worlds, but... oh my God, I almost dosed off reading it. Truly bizarre.

I have no idea what page I'm at. Chapter III, 16 Kindle page-turns, technically p.5... it goes from p.132 to p.155, so 23 pages... somehow... so I should be on p.30-31? (5×140)÷23?

I checked: I have 3 Lovecraft complete works collections. I am not reading the one I started on 2018.

I have no clue, honestly... I got a free collection on Kindle, I can't find it here on Goodreads, and I'm reading it all in a random order... This is page 132 there, so who knows...?

I was looking for a few very specific things and this showed up. I'm expecting something I have no idea if I'll find, but Kindle had several Lovecraft giveaways — I must have 3-5 collections —, so it'll cost me nothing to check myself.
