This is my second favourite chapter, starting with the funny poop perfume story showing how good things can be misused. Quotes like “Mean what you say, say what you mean, don’t say it mean” and “Get curious not furious” really stuck with me. She adds helpful scripts, backed by Proverbs 15:1 and Colossians 4:6, plus insights on stress, headaches, and personal stories.

Never realized how quick God and Jesus are to cut off someone or/and set a boundary until I read this chapter. It was literally there all along.

At first I had a hard time with the spur example, but this became my favourite chapter. She shows how Proverbs 4:22 teaches guarding the heart is active not passive, we guard not from love but for love. Using Adam and Eve, sin and iniquity, the temple with High priests, and even keys and passwords, she shows boundaries aren’t only a good idea but a God idea. They protect intimacy, not decimate it."
