Mr. John Knightley's monologue about the futility of going outside in the cold for a visit at Christmas is glorious and relatable and cathartic. I just did that and now I'm tired and sleepy. Tsk tsk

Never read this, seen all the adaptations (the 2020 one if perfection) and I consider this to be the cringiest of the stories on film, but damn, hearing Emma's inner monologue with regards to Harriet makes it even cringier (complimentary, very)
