I’m glad I decided to finish this tonight. This was repetitive and not exciting. The love between the characters wasn’t believable. Wasn’t feeling the romantic scenes or the romance. It felt modern at times & unrealistic. Too much back & forth from the heroine. The plot sounds much better than the book turned out to be.

Pg131. Haven’t been in the mood for adult romance, especially historical, in a long time. I’ve owned this for years, & the plot sounds good, so decided to finally read it. Harriet is a horrible spy, making it completely obvious with her probing questions and anger.

12-24. Pg56. I had picked this up one day, but wanted to make sure I had time for the YA Christmas books I really wanted to read, so I read a couple books and then picked this up again.
