I think my biggest issue with these books so far is that there are so many scenes and B or C plots that just kind of...don't go anywhere. Maybe I'm speaking too soon, but the whole trial storyline seems to have been a pointless side quest. I don't know. At this point, things seem so disjointed that I have no idea how it's supposed to eventually come together.

THIS is what I was looking for in Frostbite - that traumatic ending for Rose has translated into actual consequences that she now has to suffer, which is forcing her to deal with inner turmoil she often puts to the side: inadequacy and the fear of losing those she loves. I really need this book to keep doing that.
