Hate to the that person but this just feels like a rip off of tomorrow x3 in the writing style. Even the whole “much later, Zoe would explain it in a Q&A in which she was asked about her and Jack’s time in Brenna’s lab” is the exact same way Zevin foreshadowed and jumped across timescales in her novel when referring to what happens in the future between the protagonists.
