Done with chapter 2 'mascot' this chapter was about his time living with the swerlins in mason after the state welfare man "maynard allen" took him to eventually go to 'reform school' and how one of teachers that he had a liking for, a Mr ostrowsky, had told him that he couldn't be a lawyer because he wasn't a white man. Afterwards he shifted to boston, massachusetts. To live with his older half-sister 'ella'

Completed the first chapter, aptly named 'Nightmare' it's about his childhood and how his father was first shot, then tied on the train tracks and ran over with a motor vehicle. Afterwards he and his family of 8 struggled quite a bit until the state welfare people sent malcolm into foster care, which in my humble opinion was the right thing to do so. I can relate to malcolm in many ways.
