Oh that's why Kayla is dead...she was that baby, she most likely being Alistair's daughter...

Allister, a very interesting character for sure, still not sure who Sarah is, might have forgotten but definitely wasn't mentioned except for these excerpts.
The 20th and 21st Ladies are interesting, I like that all three 19,20,21 all give this book some flesh, but maybe could have been more intertwined in the story rather than these full on excerpts.

From page 103 - 216, the book changes direction to the 19th Lady of Creaglie, I am still not sure why, but it gave some okay filler to the book, how relevant it is remains to be seen.

The main story is interesting, I like the characters, I do suspect the happenings as this is basically is the plot of probably most similar books.
