Wdym he had to be THAT vulnerable? Wdym i thought Corrick and Lochlan were dead? Wdym they were attacked by 2 “friendly” ships? Wdym Tessa and Erik are stuck in Ostriary??? I had doubts but I immediately knew that the outlaw was harristan. Sooo 1 to me and 1 to the book because I’m terrified Corrick pride will ruin everything. Anyway, the last thing I expected was for him to leave his kingly duties and mingle with the commoners, especially given their situation. But it’s so refreshing I can’t help but smile for him 🤭

Personally, I really want to believe Rian is a good guy but his wins are too on point and I might’ve spoiled a sentence filled with betrayal in the last chapter. 🤦♀️
Also I thought the discourse of Wes and Corrick would be settled in Tessa since the first book but clearly not. And I just hope he shows enough of “Wes” in his day to day actions to be considered good but I honestly think he deserves it

The “tides” take an interesting shift…wink wink.
I truely hoped that Corrick would be jealous cuz it just skyrockets the romantic intrigue. And I was ranting to the pages of the book, that if it didn’t happen, I’d have serious problem with this author. BUT WE MADE IT AND ITS HILARIOUS.
Anyway I’m not bored so I’m really really happy 🤭

Honestly, feel like the last book could have been a standalone and I know I’m quick since it’s only been 20 pages but I’m already waiting for the action to happen.
Which isn’t good cuz given the relative speed of the story it may take longer than my patience allows. 🤦♀️
