This looks like a unique perspective. Is the story closely tied to Gone with the Wind?

Yes, it’s close but it largely about Rhett Butler life and things from his perspective. Scarlett is in it but she’s more of a secondary (but important) character in this book, whereas Rhett was more secondary to Scarlett no GWTW. So far I’m enjoying it a lot but have a lot to go
