Lightbulb moment! I understand why the chapters in part four “both sides” are spilt into a’s and b’s. It’s like the 45s, the major events are the a chapters and the lesser events are the b’s but sometimes the b is more significant. And just like their new game these events are happening at the same time but in different lives and the story can’t progress without advancement from both sides.

It’s like an analogy for their game and their lives. And reading the book is like playing “both sides” because as you continue to read you progress the story and switch between both their lives therefore advancing the “game.”

I really don’t like Dov. It’s a slippery slope to disaster with this guy and he’s going to use and abuse their relationship over her to get what he wants at her expense.

Sticking his fingers in the bleeding holes of his foot and feeling the metal rods there — bro! Cut that thing off please!! You’ll get a disease!! Surely amputation is the only plausible option we have here!
