I dunno… Solid book, but ending is kinda… not a statement, yknow? Like it’s a sketch, not a finished art. Feels like it ended too soon and haven’t resolved anything this book was set to talk about.

I don’t know what to think about Edgard’s mother and what her words reveal. It feels disappointing and anticlimactic. It’s not bad for the plot, it’s just not the way I expected it to go. I guess this is a morale of the story? The life rarely goes the way you expect it to go?

Damn, okay, we are still in the real world. I should’ve guessed. But it’s still a turning point, right? It should mean something. I love the twist and I love the story, and I hope the ending is good.

Wait, did he die? And resurrected with a bunch of new skills, and now he will be a talented guitarist? Is this is where the plot goes, it repeats the story inside the story? Or is it my wishful thinking for magical realism, because I don’t like historical fiction?

I should have expected the twist, but it still caught me by surprise. The 180 turn from mundane to thrill is written so good. Solid 4* book. 5 if I’m gonna love the ending.

I really like dialogues. A lot of authors struggle to write natural speech, but this guy gets it right.
