A wonderful thesis on the founding of society. I found the story of the Kables particularly interesting. After Australia was founded, it seems the colonists decided to abandon some of the British law and give some rights to the imported convicts. I think this might show some signifigance on other similar scenarios as well, and is part of what I think makes Australia different from other British colonies.
